Before I can tell my life what I want to do with it, I must listen to my life telling me who I am.”
-Parker J. Palmer, Let Your Life Speak excerpt-
Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you, Rev. Cynthia, for your heartfelt talk about the idea that we each are being led by a Power that loves each of us so much that it would never lead us astray. There are many times in my life when my ego was the voice I trusted over my Higher Power. Even as my faith and practice drew me closer to my higher Power, a road unfamiliar and seemingly unfavorable, with too many twists and turns, was avoided at all costs. It was not until there was a true surrender of self that there was a true realization of the fact that my Higher Power always has my highest and best in mind.
I get to choose what I want in my life and am grateful to know that my job is simply to remember it is Divine’s great pleasure to give me that or something infinitely better. As the above-referenced quote states, our job is to listen and remember who and whose you truly are prior to deciding what you want to do with your one precious life.
Peace and Blessings,
Rev. Staci
