Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life,
and you will call it fate.-Carl Jung-
Dear Friends and Family,
We live in a world where many of us have yet to fully recognize and embrace the freedom that is ours. Regardless of what our family, friends, community, government, or religion may tell us, there is one freedom that resides within each of us: the freedom to choose how we think, what we believe, and how we respond to life.
While our choices and actions may have consequences, we have the extraordinary gift of becoming conscious of our thoughts and choosing whether they serve us or limit us.
Freedom is one of the principles I treasure most in Religious Science because it reminds me that freedom is my birthright. Life may have limitations based on our circumstances, our past, and our beliefs, but through awareness and a shift in consciousness, we can create a new day filled with possibilities. How sweet it is to know that I am not a victim!
My hope is that this week we have allowed ourselves to illuminate those places within us that may feel dark or heavy, including the beliefs we have unconsciously accepted as truth about ourselves. Rather than hiding from those parts of ourselves, may we welcome them into the light, invite them to join in the joy of life, and allow them to dance with us.
