Dear Family and Friends,
I trust everyone had a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, and Happy Winter Solstice. We now move into the next exciting season of each year, which is the New Year. Rev Angelica Taggert wrote a book called, And So It Is a Book of Uncommon Prayer. It is a daily guide of short stories and prayers, and she begins the book in the following way:
Starting the year in prayer
“There is only One. One Great Heart and Mind. One Infinite Intelligence and Unconditional Love. One Presence throughout the Universe. This is God, First Cause, Higher Power, The One.
Since this Power is everywhere present, I recognize it is within me right now. It always has been and always will be. It is my Life.
This is the beginning of a brand-new year. I choose to begin this year in gratitude. I am so thankful I know who I am in Truth. I am so thankful I have this blank calendar before me to fill in as I choose.
I know I will choose wisely. I surrender to that Power for Good that is Greater than I am, and I allow It to live my life in the most wonderful ways.
I am blessed beyond measure. I am healthy, wealthy, in the right relationship, and am using my gifts and talents with joy. I am living my purpose and rejoicing in being of service to my world.
Yes, this is going to be the best year ever! I know the power of my word as I speak it into Law, and I know the Law works. All these things I have spoken are now so in my life.
With a grateful heart, I release these words and enjoy the results. And So it is.”

I trust that each of you that reads this prayer finds excitement and gratitude for the blessing of a fresh start. Thank you, Rev Angelica, for this prayer and for each of you reading this. May 2023 be each of our best years yet.
Happy Holidays.
Love and Blessings,
