Dear Friends and Family,
It is by design that Centers for Spiritual Living’s theme for the month is Pieces into Peace. Saturday, September 21, is recognized as International Day of Peace, and the theme for 2024 is Cultivating a Culture of Peace. Many of our Centers are practicing Peace on that day in various ways. As practicing Religious Scientists, we know that thoughts are the beginnings of our actions. Therefore, it follows that the power of thought creates war, and the opposite is also true.
The creation of Peace is just a thought away. This Saturday, our beloved Practitioner Aldo Yniguez, the facilitator of Heart of Peace, asked to move the monthly Wednesday night service to celebrate the International Day of Peace. He and the wonderful Karen Jones will put on a beautiful service with the intention of us coming together to practice and cultivate Peace in our own hearts and minds so that we might pass it along to all of those on our daily path. That is yet another way of creating a world that works for all. Thank you, Aldo and Karen, and all the people involved in the service.
I look forward to sitting with each of you in our sanctuary and being the Peace that we are meant to be. The service is from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday, September 21, 2024. If you aren’t able to make it, you can catch it live on Facebook or YouTube. Peace be with you!
