Dear Family and Friends,
We believe that the goal of life is complete freedom from all discord of every nature, and that this goal is sure to be achieved by all. – Dr. Ernest Holmes
What would life look like if we all felt free in all areas of our life? My definition of free is unrestricted, with no lack, no limitations. That is a question that many of you have heard me ask many times.
I honestly believe that if we were to check in with ourselves on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to assess what we need to look at and address so that we can live into our birthright of freedom, we would be much more fulfilled in life. Having the courage to look at an issue is the first step, and the next is to speak up FOR what we want.
That is our work, and no one can or is able to do it for us. This is not only our individual work, but we must also be willing to look outside of ourselves and have the courage to examine what we, as a collective, have created or continue to allow. Again, we look at the issue/issues that we feel are creating limitations and restrictions, and we move into speaking up FOR what we want to see.
We don’t have to go out into the streets and protest (we can), but if we want to shift into a world that works for all, we must begin to look at what we want for all of humanity. It is each of our work and why we are here. I spoke about the book “Creating a World That Works for All” by Sharif Abdullah, which our book club will be reading over the next two months. We will meet for a discussion on Zoom on July 30 at 4:00 p.m. PT.
If you are truly interested in learning more about this idea, please feel free to join us. Here is a link to the author’s video about the book: https://youtu.be/VBkVpYeSrzQ?si=sP3MFvIClSgUB9Di
Let’s work together to create a world that is better than we left it. Who’s in?
