Dear Friends and Family,
I trust everyone had a wonderful Father’s Day last Sunday. It was a joy to have Rev. Jim—now known as Azaan—share our Sunday message, and it is always a blessing to experience the vibrant energy of a joint service with Unity of Las Vegas.
Like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day can bring up a wide range of emotions depending on our relationships with our earthly fathers. One of the beautiful aspects of New Thought is that we can choose to recognize and celebrate the highest qualities our parents embodied, while also remembering that a Divine Presence is within each of us—always with us, guiding, guarding, and directing us through the power of Love. That Presence desires only our highest good and never leaves us.
Perhaps our earthly fathers were unavailable, whether by choice or circumstance. Even so, we can celebrate the loving Presence within us that remains constant, wherever we are and whatever we have experienced.
As I write this, I find myself filled with gratitude for my own father, Arthur T. Hylton, who has always been a wonderful “girl dad.” He never missed an opportunity to tell me I was beautiful, smart, and capable of accomplishing anything I set my mind to. I realize that not everyone has had that experience, and that awareness reminds me once again how truly blessed I am.
May we all remember that, regardless of our earthly experiences, we are forever held in the unconditional love of the One Presence that is always with us.
Peace and Blessings,
Rev. Staci
