ps for last sunday
Rev. Cheryl

Dear Family and Friends,

I spoke about exploring our emotions and feelings, and as we do so, we focus on the mental equivalent to gain a different perspective. We avoid “praying it away” through spiritual bypass, but Instead, we apply our spiritual practice to work through it, breathe through it, and find a way to face the scary monsters that may not be so scary after all. We may even realize a misperception or false narrative trying to appear real. We may recognize that we’re trying to assign meaning to something erroneously. The truth may present itself as we delve more into the emotion.

Emotions require balance so that we don’t spiral downward into a dark abyss or become over-saturated in the bliss that doesn’t include the reality of the human experience.

I spoke to you also about myself and Rev. Staci, wanting to go to the “The Lost Kitchen” in Freedom, Maine. Below is what Rev. Staci wrote on her postcard and a copy of mine below that. So who wants to join us?

Love,
Rev. Cheryl
