There are approximately 47,000 individuals with dementia in Nevada. In just six years, the number is projected to increase by 36% to 64,000 (Alzheimer’s Association 2019 Facts & Figures).
Dementia Friendly Southern Nevada has created a free 45 minute presentation to help better serve individuals and families who are dealing with dementia.
The Community Awareness presentation includes:
• Overview of dementia
• Dementia Friendly communication, physical environment and caregiver support
• Understanding ways to become more Dementia Friendly
