It was 2011, and after a very moving and enlightening message given by Rev Cynthia, I stood in line to tell her what I always find myself saying to her after a really thought-provoking message: ” I know you said all of that just for me.” she laughed, as she always did as I shared with her that something was troubling me. I needed to discuss it with her. Rev. Cynthia said, “Have I ever told you about The Border? Call me tomorrow, and we’ll talk.”

I remember feeling so good after that because I knew Rev. Cynthia would give me another tool for my “Tool Belt, ” something to get me through This Thing Called Life. I was so excited and could hardly wait until morning to call her and find out about The Border. When I called the next day, I was ready to tell her my story, and as I was halfway through, she very gently said, “Juanita, this is something that happens to all of us. We reach a certain point, and we start to doubt. Let me say this: everything starts in our mind as an idea. For example, a person may want success in their career; they want it to be a rewarding experience.

So, you start with this thought and begin to move in the direction of doing all you can to bring this to you, to manifest this. You really want this, and you feel it in your Heart of Hearts, so you embrace this thought and take all the necessary steps, whatever they may be. As you do this, something happens, and it happens to each of us! See if you can imagine an imaginary line in your mind from your Thought to what you Desire. Now, in the middle of all of this, on your way to your Desire, is The Border:

MY Thought ——————— The Border ———————– My Desire

As we approach the Border, a voice says, “You can’t do this… You don’t deserve this… You will never be a success,” or whatever idle, negative chatter has been cropping up for you. This happens to all of us once we reach this point. We always hear the negative self-talk, those inner voices that show up for all of us. It’s at this point we have to say, “You have no business in my life; I am moving forward”! You have to talk back to these voices, and once you do, they begin to get softer and softer until they disappear, and we move forward to what we desire. You can count on them showing up; they never fail to appear the closer we get to what we want to demonstrate in our lives. At this point, we must decide, and there is only one decision we must make. You know what is best for you, so do you move forward, or do you keep listening to those voices?

What will your decision be? Do you see where I am going with this? I did see where she was going, and I had made my decision. I would move forward in pursuit of my goals and intentions. I would plant my seeds (my thoughts) in the soil (Law of Mind) and reap the harvest that would surely come (Manifestation, Effect)

My heartfelt desire for each of you is that when you reach your Border, you will take a moment to think of this story, take action, still the inner voices, and cross over into manifesting your Heart’s Desires.
