Dear Family and Friends,
We had a full weekend last week. Saturday, our Mind and Body Community Expo, a surprise send-off for our beloved Practitioner Cathy, which we called Coffee with Cathy, a joint Easter service with Unity, which made it a (Full House), then the Men’s Group provided a light brunch, and finally a Concert. It was all lovely. Thank you to all who supported and/or participated.
We are certainly offering more opportunities to celebrate community and spiritual family. I am grateful for Unity’s inviting Azaan, who gave a fantastic talk, and I find it nice to be open to collaboration, which brings forth new and fresh ideas. Easter and Christmas can be the same ole same ole, so this brought some uniqueness.
I have had people not understand the inclusion of communion, so here is a metaphysical explanation from AI: Communion is about a conscious union of our human awareness with the Divine. It’s about feeding the soul and energizing the Spirit.
Body (The Bread) (cracker in most cases)—Represents the Substance of Life-When we take the bread, we accept the fullness and allow it to nourish us.
Wine-(grape juice)-Symbolizes joy, vitality, and the flow of Spirit. When we drink the wine, we claim the energy, creativity, and passion of Spirit and accept the awareness that it flows through us all because we are One with the One.
I love the metaphysical interpretation and appreciate the ritual, especially on Easter Sunday. Remember, we can be open to new ways of thinking and expand a new thought, or we can choose to stay in our old way of thinking. The choice is always ours.
Peace and Blessings,
Rev Staci
