Dear Family and Friends,

Willard Williams is a Practitioner from Agape who has been a part of our community for a little while now. He continues to serve Agape as a licensed Practitioner and will soon be affiliating with LVCSL and joining us as part of our Ministry of Prayer Team. He shared an article with me that had to do with a recent talk that I wanted to share with our community. Thank you, Willard, for the gift of your consciousness, and thank you to his beloved Brenda for being a part of our community as well.

Much love,
Staci,

Dear Willard,

Getting Your Soil Together
Your Job is fourfold: Get the soil ready, choose the right seeds, plant them, and give your garden care and attention.

The Essential Ernest Holmes

Although I have never been credited with having a green thumb, I really identify with gardening metaphors. In the Science of Mind philosophy there are three stages in the Divine creative process; “Spirit, Soul, and Body.” The “Spirit” or Universal Mind/Presence is the first step or the “Cause” of our creations. The “Soul” or Law is the middle step in which we as co-creators have the most influence. Finally, the third step is the “Body” or form and is the manifestation of the thought. This can be summed up in one brief statement: What you sow is what you reap.

So much for Science of Mind 101. But let’s get back to the planting. When we want something to manifest in our lives, we first need to make sure that the “seeds” of our thoughts are going to germinate in good soil. Good spiritual soil contains ingredients such as positive emotions, memories, beliefs, and lots of gratitude. This allows a welcome place to put your seed of thought. Throughout the growing process we maintain the garden by removing the weeds of negativity, doubt, worry, and fear. When these things come up (and they do) we change our thoughts from negative to positive, from doubt to faith, from worry to peace, and from fear to love. (Also, we never dig up the seed to check the progress of the plant.) We practice these changes through prayer, meditation, and other spiritual modalities. This allows the creative seed you’ve planted to manifest your creation and produce your garden of desire.

Of course, this a basic overview of the process, but it clearly makes one basic statement: What you put in the ground will yield its results. And how well you cultivate your garden will determine the quality of your produce.

Affirmation:

Thoughts are powerful,
Negative thoughts yield negative produce
When you cultivate Divine ideas
All things become possible
So, get your Soil together.
