Dear Family and Friends,
Beneath every story, every silence, and every wall, there is life quietly moving. Inspired by writer Lyanda Lynn Haupt’s reflections on the “beneathness” of nature and Ernest Holmes’ reminder that “Life is all that there is,” Sunday’s message explored the unseen spaces where Spirit is still at work — even in silence, struggle, or distance.
Through the stories of a withdrawn teenager and a guarded daughter-in-law, I invited you to look beyond behavior to being — to see what lies beneath pain, defenses, and misunderstanding. “The Beneathness” that I spoke of on Sunday calls us to become gentle witnesses of one another’s hidden stories, to move from rescuing to understanding, and to trust that beneath it all, there is a divine presence — steady, alive, and waiting to be seen.
