Rev. Cheryl

Dear Friends and Family,

Charlie started us off with a beautiful, powerful power talk based on the talk title “A Playful Pause.” He reintroduced us to the beloved Louise Hay and her wisdom. Then Rev. Mike McMorrow graced us with his kind-hearted “Blue Collar Spirituality.” The title of his most recent book. He was direct, clear, and funny. I loved how he encouraged us all to shift our consciousness, no matter our spiritual path, to take time to take a “Playful Pause” and enjoy our lives now. I can personally and honestly tell you that his love and support have taken me far.

We have become so accustomed to thinking that we are only productive or worthy if we work and accomplish something. This belief has come from our society, where we are told that hard work is a necessity. Yet Science of Mind™ teaches us that it is far more essential to remember our Oneness and stay in the flow and connection of Spirit. We are human BE-ings, not human DO-ings, and it is vital to pause each day to remember the Truth of who we are.

He reminded everyone that the Ministry of Prayer team are here for you if you are ready to take that “playful pause” from your responsibilities at least once in a while as necessary for our mental, physical, and spiritual health, if we can ever be of service, please do not hesitate to contact any one of us.

Namasté,
Rev. Cheryl

Story:

“Pope Francis was asked about his secret to happiness. He answered, ‘Slow down. Take time off. Live and let live. Don’t proselytize. Work for peace. Work at a job that offers basic human dignity. Don’t hold on to negative feelings. Move calmly through life. Enjoy art, books, and playfulness.'” – Timothy Egan, author, and columnist for The New York Times

I thought it would be fun to show a photo of Rev. Mike from past to present.
