Dear Friends and Family,

This past Sunday was quite a celebration, if I may say so myself. I spoke about our community partners and our connections. Las Vegas Center for Spiritual Living has formed many partners over the years in the effort to “create a world that works for everyone”.

Just to name a few, CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocate, Foster Kinship, Helping Hands of Southern Nevada, Project 150 and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police department. Our Newest partner is SAFY just across the parking lot, we had a friend-raiser in August; we had a panel of experts answering questions about children and mental health in our community.

We have offered space to A Place in the Heart Theatre Company, they believe in the power of the Arts to revitalize communities. What a great time we had on World Day of Service at Three Square in a sort-a-thon. I mentioned that I felt the best way to describe why we do all these things could be summed up in the African philosophy known as UBUNTU. Its meaning is simply “I am what I am because of who you all are.”

If you remember nothing else from this past Sunday, remember that my humanity is caught up and is inextricably bound up in yours. Please feel free to join us in our efforts.

Love to all,
Rev. Cheryl
