Entrepreneur. Visionary. Businesswoman. Spiritual Seeker.
Cynthia Clair decided to add the title "Reverend" when she completed the necessary classes to become a minister in Thousand Oaks in 1990. The following year she became the Pastor of the Center For Positive Living in Camarillo, California where she nurtured, visualized and watched grow a phenomenal congregation of loving, devoted people. By 1996, she became an ordained minister.
A wonderful career opportunity for her husband Dr. Tom prompted a move to Las Vegas, Nevada, where Cynthia came kicking and screaming but soon decided to mend her broken heart by focusing on others: she became the founding Chaplain for the newly opened Summerlin Medical Center where she set up a supporting staff of thirty individuals from different denominations. When asked what salary she expected, she said she didn't want any money, as this was her time to give back -- and as a result of her devotion to the position, the CEO of the hospital provided her with a wonderful gift: a room for her to use to set up a new spiritual center!
Since that day, Reverend Cynthia has embraced a new community of spirit-seekers, with about 150 people currently attending services each week so far. Her vision is to build a center that embraces the practice of making all paths to God welcome. A major goal is that The Center be sound financially. The location of Sunday services is important in that it meets the needs of the community, families, singles, young and old alike. Where that is will be decided by the congregation and its active members.
Her personal vision is to empower people to discover their own magnificence. Clear in her Sunday message it is easy for the listener to relate to personal stories, parables and illustrations. By embracing that "its all God" she feels that each person is a direct divine idea, who has all of the necessary tools to create a life filled with joy, love, abundance, peace and health - when they choose to.
She has stated that after ten years, she'll rest, relax and look upon her manifested vision and most likely, knowing Reverend Cynthia, immediately set out to create a newer, bigger one!
